Better life quality for wheelchair users, health protection and unique technology. Reasons for Libella Seat Varia victory of the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design 2022.
Designer Věra Kunhartová chose for production an innovative application of FDM 3D printing technology. She has changed the traditional production of compensatory aids for wheelchair users, made financially and environmentally friendly production possible and made individual aids more accessible to more users. Modern technology, the latest materials and an individual approach have come together in the first fully adjustable seat on the market that not only looks good but above all helps and makes life easier for its users.
This year, products from almost 60 countries were registered. Their quality was judged by an independent international jury of 48 experts from 23 countries who have many years of professional experience in the field of design, whether as designers, journalists, university professors or consultants.
Respected by the professional community, the Red Dot Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world and has been awarded since the 1950s.
